When we’re at work you’re thoughtful and supportive. Your kind nature makes me fall in love with you more and more. When I try to ask you out, I choke on the words and act foolishly. With all my being I want you to know how I feel, but can’t find the strength to tell you. S.S.

Like exercise makes my arms stronger, loving you added strength to my heart. Even though my heart is hurting, the good of having loved you remains. Some days remembering makes life more difficult, but most often my life is better because you were once in it. J.B.

Eighty Miles An Hour

Attempting to look ahead at life is like trying to see through a windshield without wipers on a car going eighty miles an hour. Yet looking through the rear view mirror is mostly clear. I did not realize how much I loved you until you were gone. It makes me weep to remember. C.S.

Love lost and long remembered is a blessed curse. Day and night my mind silently mumbles your name saying “I’m sorry” over and over. I became a clown in the circus and have spent my life painting a smile on my face every day and hiding underneath it. K.T.

The phrase is over-used but accurate; “you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone”. I was self-absorbed and forgot you were as important in our relationship as me. I treated you badly. When you’d had enough; you left. I thought you’d come back, but you didn’t. V.M.

Like It Is Suffocating

I wake up some time and for a moment I don’t remember you’re gone. More than once I’ve picked my phone up to call you and then remembered you don’t want to hear from me. Life was challenging with you, but it is awful without you. My heart feels like it is suffocating. C.B.
