I loved you. I really did. When we were together you got all I had; everything. But all wasn’t enough for someone like you who is afraid of being loved; who thinks he doesn’t deserve it. Your heart is lost. Until you find it and learn to love yourself no relationship will ever last.  A.P.

A Shattered Stained-Glass Window

I wish I could break all the mirrors in my mind that keep reflecting you. Memories haunt me. Sometimes I forget for an hour or two, then someone says something or I see a place that reminds me. Then I am heartbroken all over again wishing you’d come back to me. L.A.

People Change

It seemed our dreams had come true. You loved me. I loved you. We thought we’d spend the rest of our lives together. We made mistakes, did things that hurt each other badly and it all slipped away.  Sadly our happily ever after became three good years and too bad ones. W.S.

After a year I thought my heart had healed and I was over you. I go to a party thrown by some new people I’d met then a half hour later turn around and there you are. Just the two of us standing there talking was like when we first met. I fell in love with you all over again. D.H.

The passing of time has helped close the gash you left on my heart, but the wound will never fully heal. At first I prayed to die but now I plead for amnesia so I can forget & let go of  what will never be again. Forever turned out to be a life of heartache of living without you. T.A.

Once upon a time we shared something truly special. Through high school and college we were the magical couple everyone thought would be in love and together forever. Things changed and we broke each other’s heart. Even now I am not sure what happened. E.T.

Really Hurts

Sometimes I forget we’re divorced for an hour or so, never much longer. All while the process was going on I thought you’d change your mind and somehow things would still work out. Now I realize you have left me completely behind and that really, really, really hurts! R.B.
